Chevy to Bring Home More Racing Wins
Chevrolet is pretty much a racing master—with tons of racecars and bikes out there, you wouldn’t believe all the wins they’re bringing home. The 2015 year marked an impressive one for Chevrolet racing, but it doesn’t end there. They’ve been making strides already this year.
In 2015, Chevrolet scored 11 championships wins in NASCAR, IndyCar, NHRA and more. These championships included six manufacturer and five driver titles. The “big” wins were the Indianapolis 500, IndyCar Dual in Detroit, NHRA U.S. Nationals, the 24 Hours of Le Mans, Rolex 24 Hours at Daytona and the first manufacturer’s overall victory in 50 years at the 12 Hours of Sebring.
But the victories don’t stop there. Just this year, a Corvette finished 1-2 at Rolex 24 at Daytona, extending their winning streak into 2016. It was the second straight Rolex 24 victory. So what makes Chevrolet racing so superior? It has a lot to do with their Corvette C7.R racers with their incredible engines, built at the all-new GM Powertrain Performance and Racing Center in Pontiac, Michigan.
Chevrolet racing has a strong track record, so let’s watch them win more this year!
